Frequently asked questions about SiteRack.
What is SiteRack?
SiteRack is a centralized dashboard where you can view the security and health of your WordPress sites. It’s available as a web app (accessed via your browser) or a Mac app and uses a WordPress plugin to report information about your site back to your dashboard.
Who is SiteRack for?
SiteRack is for anyone who uses WordPress and wants to monitor their sites for security. Its birds-eye view of security across multiple sites makes it ideal for individuals and agencies who manage many WordPress sites.
Is SiteRack secure?
SiteRack is designed to be as secure as possible by omitting functionality that could potentially harm your site such as remotely installing plugins, creating users, installing scripts, etc. SiteRack does support single sign-on but this functionality can be disabled for added security. SiteRack supports two-factor authentication (2FA) and passkeys to ensure that only you can access your SiteRack account.
How often does SiteRack scan for malware?
SiteRack scans your sites daily for malware.
How often does SiteRack check for plugin vulnerabilities?
SiteRack currently checks your sites up to four times a day.
Will SiteRack slow down my website?
SiteRack uses a lightweight plugin to report information back to your dashboard. Heavier work such as indexing files is done in short bursts to avoid affecting your site’s performance, and plugin vulnerability checking and malware scanning happen on SiteRack’s side, so your site is not involved at all.
Can I manage my websites remotely with SiteRack?
No. SiteRack is a monitoring tool and intentionally leaves out remote management, such as installing plugins, creating users, running scripts, or any other action that could harm your site.
